Lockheed to receive funding for six F-35B aircraft

The DOD has released $1 billion to proceed with production on the first six F-35B Lightning II aircraft, Lockheed Martin said. The company will build the aircraft for the Marine Corps. Undersecretary of Defense John Young had withheld the money pending a review process and completion of the first flight of the F-35B test aircraft.
