Corps of Engineers to begin repair work on dam in Washington state

The Army Corps of Engineers this fall will begin repairs of the wells and drains at Washington state's Hanson Dam, which was damaged by storms. The project is expected to be finished before the rainy reason of 2011-2012. Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., succeeded in including a provision to a supplemental appropriation bill that would provide the $44 million needed for the repair work.
