Government creates apps to address stress in war vets

The Pentagon has developed a number of mobile health applications to aid war veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorders. The PTSD Coach, a Pentagon-Veterans Affairs Department collaboration released in May, helps patients self-assess symptoms and provide instructions on relaxation and breathing. The app also enables vets to contact the National Suicide Prevention Hotline during an emergency.
