Masturbation is tied to sexual intercourse among teens in study

Boys were found to engage in masturbation more often than girls, although the frequency increased with age for both sexes, researchers reported in the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. The study also tied masturbation greater odds of engaging in sexual intercourse among 14- to 17-year-olds as well as increased condom use among boys.
