Stanford researchers develop nanocircuits to go

Researchers at Stanford University demonstrated a process for making nanowire-based circuits that can be placed on a silicon wafer, then lifted and moved to another substrate. Professor Xiaolin Zheng, who led the Stanford team, said the flexible nanocircuits could be used as biomedical sensors, displays and solar cells. "Devices can be transferred without sustaining any damage," Zheng added.
