Study: Nanomaterial can help regrow blood vessels

Researchers at Northwestern University have developed a nanomaterial that can mimic the function of vascular endothelial growth factor, which plays a role in the formation of new blood vessels. Tests in mice with limited blood supply in their hind legs showed the nanofiber treatment can result in improved motor function and blood flow.
