U.S. factory output falls to lowest level in 2 years, index shows

The Institute for Supply Management's index of U.S. manufacturing activity fell 4.4 points to 50.9% in July, the lowest in two years. The index has fallen 9.5 points since April, the most in three months since Lehman Brothers Holdings collapsed in 2008.
