Apple likely to bring "Retina" displays to iPad Mini

Apple is expected to turn to rival Samsung Electronics as one of three suppliers to produce a new iPad Mini in the fall that will come equipped with the "Retina" display already featured on the full-screen iPad, according to a published report which quotes Apple's suppliers. The updated tablet, which will retain its 7.9-inch size, may come in a variety of colors for its back cover. The move to sharpen the iPad Mini's display would come in the wake of Google's release of a higher resolution screen on its latest Nexus 7 tablet. Apple did not comment on the report.
