Dishonest lenders still target vets, officials say

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has received nearly 2,000 complaints in the past six months related to a federal law that aims to protect service members and veterans against financial fraud, according to officials who testified before the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee on Wednesday. Roughly half of the complaints involved mortgage lending.
