E. coli risk prompts recall of ground beef from National Beef Packing

About 50,000 pounds of ground beef products were recalled by National Beef Packing because of possible contamination with E. coli O157:H7, the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service said. The affected products were manufactured on July 18 and were distributed to food service distributors, wholesalers and retailers across the country in 40- to 60-pound cases.
