Gerard refutes Obama's Keystone XL job creation claims

American Petroleum Institute President and CEO Jack Gerard disputed President Barack Obama's recent comments about the jobs associated with TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline. Gerard argued that more than 4,000 jobs were generated from the construction of the pipeline's southern leg alone. "Four comprehensive environmental reviews -- every one of them -- indicated no significant adverse impact to the environment, and yet we continue to dilly dally and have not made a decision that is pretty fundamental to the well-being of our country," Gerard said.
