Industry, labor and Congress join in opposing Abu Dhabi agreement

U.S. Customs and Border Protection plans to open a controversial preclearance facility in Abu Dhabi, which has provoked criticism from U.S. airlines, pilot unions and some members of Congress because no U.S. airlines serve the airport in the United Arab Emirates. Delta CEO Richard Anderson called the long customs lines at U.S. airports an "embarrassment," saying the solution should not be "to outsource JFK to Abu Dhabi."
