Millennials are ready to tackle humanitarian challenges

More than 600 millennial entrepreneurs and philanthropists from 70 countries attended the Nexus Global Youth Summit held at the United Nations in late July. They are optimistic about the future and want to alleviate "extreme poverty, hunger [and] lack of accessible sanitation in developing countries," writes Evan Kirkpatrick. Their discussions emphasized progress made and the use of pop culture to raise awareness of social ills, he reports.
