Report: Converged infrastructures are taking root in the enterprise

Data-centric workloads are driving adoption of converged infrastructures, according to research firm TBR, which reports that the average budget for such projects is about $900,000. The firm expects big U.S. enterprises to spend more than $3.8 billion in the next year on the technology, and says companies are finding additional uses for converged systems in areas of financial transactions and cloud efforts.
