SEC chief says fiduciary rule is important, but not sole agency priority

Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Mary Jo White has told the Senate banking committee that a proposed rule for a fiduciary standard for investment professionals is on the front burner, along with other mandatory rule-making priorities. These include regulations for crowdfunding investments and a measure relaxing securities registration for small companies. She set a general timeline for the fall of this year.
