Sports stars say they're finding it tough to deal with the amount of abuse directed at them on Twitter. Social media pros advise athletes to ignore digital negativity, but admit that's easier said than done. "This is the paradox of being a leader or a celebrity in the digital age," says Harvard University's Nicco Mele. "There are no intermediaries. ... It's an unfiltered relation, direct access, and that is very challenging for anybody."
