Sprouts IPO meets success; Whole Foods stock slips

Sprouts Farmers Market has gone public, with its stock price increasing 123% the first day. Whole Foods Market's share price, meanwhile, slipped after the grocer reported a slowdown in same-store sales. "Success breeds competition," Whole Foods co-CEO John Mackey said. "And so I expect that we'll see more competition, but again, we have first-mover advantages; we are also innovating at a very rapid rate."
