U.S. tech companies avoid taxes by using offshore vehicles, according to report

The largest tech companies in the U.S., including Apple, Google and IBM, are parking money offshore via such vehicles as shell companies, according to a report by U.S. PIRG, a public interest research coalition. Such tactics allow the companies to avoid an estimated $90 billion in federal income taxes annually, according to the report.
