AT&T, Verizon spent nearly $900M combined on TV ads in year's first half

The wireless industry spent $1.77 billion on national TV spots in the first half of this year, and nearly half of that came from AT&T and Verizon, according to iSpot data. AT&T's $480.2 million covered 50 ads largely on NBC, CBS and NBC Sports, while Verizon focused much of its $408.5 million spend on Fox, NBC and ABC.
