EEOC suit alleges age discrimination at Chicago college

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is accusing Harold Washington College in Chicago of discriminating against a 66-year-old woman by not hiring her for a full-time position. The EEOC says the woman was passed over in favor of younger candidates despite having amassed positive recommendations and a strong record as an adjunct professor. The City Colleges of Chicago, which includes Harold Washington College, does not comment on pending litigation, a spokeswoman said.
