Cisco releases software patch

Cisco Systems security officials released a patch to fix software flaws one day after a judge granted the company a restraining order against a former researcher who went public with the error. Cisco's "IPv6 Crafted Packet Vulnerability" was made available on its Web site shortly after a permanent injunction against Michael Lynn, a former ISS researcher, was upheld.
