AOL makes its plans

If all goes according to plan, AOL by the end of September will have made major strides toward its rebranding as a free, content-rich Web portal, with a suite of free services aimed at broadband users, including free VoIP, an e-mail account, on-demand video channels and more. AOL says it will continue to offer its dial-up Internet service, although it is expected that many users will stop paying for services that are now available for free.
