Before going out to select a product for network access control, chief information officers would be wise to establish what technical approach will be taken to enforce NAC policy, according to this article. "If you start by googling 'NAC' and talk to eight vendors, you get really confused, really quickly. Many of them have valid solutions but totally different approaches to NAC. Go in knowing what you want to do," said Gartner analyst Lawrence Orans.
