New Zealand to create 50 teacher-adviser jobs to boost learning

New Zealand says it will establish 50 teacher-adviser positions in schools nationwide to help strengthen children's skills in reading, writing and maths. The education ministry also will examine the $86 million spent annually on teacher-training programmes to ensure the focus is on boosting pupil achievement.
