States see toll roads as way to reverse declining road revenue

Toll roads have become a more attractive option for states looking to gain revenue in light of budget cuts and the recession. Gasoline taxes, the traditional source of road revenue, saw hits after consumers found ways to cut back on gas usage. State and local governments across the nation have begun investing in toll road projects, drawing opposition from commuters and truckers alike.
