Test scores are affected by student mobility, Mass. data show

Schools with higher student-turnover rates are more likely to have lower test scores, according to data from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The data showed that schools where at least 20% of students either enrolled or left during the school year had lower scores than those schools where fewer than 10% of students came or went during the year.
