U.S. forges nuclear-reprocessing agreement with India

The U.S. has agreed to allow India to reprocess spent American nuclear fuel -- considered an important provision in the countries' nuclear deal. The agreement demonstrates President Barack Obama's "strong commitment to building successfully on the landmark U.S.-India Civil Nuclear Cooperation Initiative and is a prerequisite for U.S. nuclear-fuel suppliers to conduct business with India," according to the U.S. State Department.
