Ground turkey might have caused salmonella outbreak, CDC says

The CDC said a strain of salmonella that killed one person and sickened 76 in 26 states might have been carried by ground turkey. The agency said three samples that tested positive for salmonella contamination were associated with the same production facility, which it did not identify. The CDC said it is collaborating with the USDA "to identify the specific contaminated product or products that are causing illnesses and will update the public on the progress of this investigation as information becomes available."
