BYOD features prominently in new Windows 8.1 Enterprise

The enterprise version of Microsoft's soon-to-be-released Windows 8.1 operating system includes a range of enhancements designed to address the rise of bring-your-own-device, say experts who have reviewed the product. Among the BYOD-specific features is an integrated mobile device management platform known as Open MDM, as well as security upgrades including Remote Business Data Removal, which enables administrators to scrub devices of sensitive corporate information without disrupting personal files.
