China's 2,073-foot tower, world's second tallest, tops out

A topping-out ceremony was held Saturday for the 2,073-foot-tall Shanghai Tower in China, which will become the world's second tallest building when it opens in 2014. The 121-story skyscraper will house hotels along with cultural, office and retail space. The building's concrete core is wrapped with glass to act as a second skin and cut energy use, with lighting to be powered by 270 wind generators. Crews will now concentrate on construction of the building's interior.
