Growing chicken wing industry could spur higher prices

Chicken wing franchises account for nearly 2,000 restaurants across the country and the industry has posted 4.1% growth per year since 2008, outpacing burger and frozen yogurt franchises, according to a FranData analyst. Demand for the chicken wing, however, has led to an inflation of prices that could increase further as quickservice restaurants such as McDonald's add wings to their menus.
