HootSuite scores $165 million investment, plans global expansion

HootSuite bagged an impressive $165 million during its Series B fundraising round, suggesting that investors are confident the social media management company has big potential. Much of the cash will go to funding and hiring for the company's international expansion, with Europe and Latin America first on the radar, CEO Ryan Holmes says. "We want to bring in engineering talent from the best and brightest companies around," Holmes says. "It's going to be really important for us over the next year."
