Logistics costs tracking U.S. economy, CSCMP report shows

The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals' State of Logistics Report shows the ratio for logistics costs last year remain unchanged from 2011, with costs amounting to 8.5% of the U.S. gross domestic product. This shows that the growth of costs for warehouse storage and goods transport is parallel to that of the overall economy. The report predicts a slow economic growth rate of 3% or lower for the next few years.
