Many providers want to integrate EMRs with smart pumps, report says

A KLAS report found that more than 50% of 251 surveyed providers are planning to link their EMRs with smart infusion pumps in the future. Those who already use the pumps report significant improvements in patient safety through greater drug-library adherence, more accurate and timely documentation, and fewer programming errors, the report notes.
