Michael O'Rielly gets White House nod for GOP seat on FCC

Michael O'Rielly, an aide to Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, and longtime Capitol Hill staffer, has been nominated by the White House to fill the open Republican seat on the Federal Communications Commission. The selection of O'Rielly could lead to a vote to confirm Tom Wheeler, the nominee for FCC chairman, because GOP lawmakers signaled an unwillingness to support Wheeler without having a pick for their seat.
