N.Y. airports seek funding for improvements

The Corning-Painted Post Airport in New York will receive $390,000 from the Federal Aviation Administration's Airport Improvement Program for a 50,000-square-foot runway improvement. Meanwhile, the Elmira-Corning Regional Airport is in the process of preparing a grant application to upgrade the airport's beacon lights.
