S.D. SNA conference features dishes aligned with federal standards

At the School Nutrition Association of South Dakota's 42nd annual meeting held this week, vendors showcased dishes that meet federal nutrition standards -- and demonstrated ways nutrition professionals are working with food distributors. Among the items available at the conference were smaller bagels and different package sizes for cereal. "We're really working closely with vendors to get products at a lower price and get schools on the same page," Association President Charlotte Pistulka said.
