Sen. Scott questions U.S. commitment to S.C. MOX project

The approval of the mixed-oxide project at the Savannah River Site in South Carolina would show that the U.S. is committed to a bilateral agreement with Russia covering the disposal of weapons-grade plutonium, said Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C. However, the Obama administration hasn't demonstrated such dedication, Scott said. "This administration has abandoned its commitment to the people of South Carolina. Not only will it cost the taxpayers more money, but hundreds of South Carolinians could lose their jobs," he said.
