BellSouth simplifies DSL pricing

BellSouth said it plans to charge one rate for its DSL offerings as part of a plan to simplify pricing for customers. The move means the telco no longer will offer short-term introductory rates. "BellSouth believes that, for many people, simplicity and convenience are essential when choosing a high-speed Internet service," said Keith Cowan, president of marketing and product management.
