N.Y. health experts urge governor to sign morning-after pill bill

Health officials and physicians in New York urged Gov. George Pataki to consider the value of the morning-after pill in expanding family planning options and women's health choices before deciding whether to veto a bill allowing a form of over-the-counter sales of the drug. A leading sexual health expert in the U.K., however, accused medical professionals of misleading women with overly positive reports of the pill's effects.
