Storms prompt policy changes at Caribbean, Florida resorts

Resorts in Florida and the Caribbean, which are now year-round destinations, are adjusting their refund and cancellation policies in response to the Atlantic hurricane season. Tour operators are also making changes in order to accommodate travelers who choose to visit the destinations during storm season. Expedia.com has announced a "Hassle Free Hurricane Promise" under which it will waive storm-related cancellation fees for users and advocate for hotel and airline partners to do the same.
