Principals: Teach manners at home so schools can focus on academics

Parents should teach manners, bike and traffic safety and other non-academic subjects so educators can focus on reading, math, science and history, Australian elementary principals say. Lawmaker Barry O'Farrell took a different tack, however, saying, "Civility and courtesy should be part and parcel of every lesson."
