Franchises capture attention of skilled, unemployed workers

With unemployment numbers rising and fewer companies hiring, more jobless workers are turning to franchises to turn around their fortunes. "Our members are saying that they're getting an increased level of experienced applicants, people who are more serious," said the International Franchise Association's Alisa Harrison.
