GE Aviation readies HF120 engine for first flight

The GE Honda HF120 business jet engine will be ready for its first flight by the end of the year. The engine from GE Aviation is designed with a TBO of 5,000 hours. GE Aviation plans to build 13 production quality engines by December, and GE Honda Aero Engines President Bill Dwyer predicts the engine will be certified by late 2010.
