HBO likes Adobe Flash for broadband complement to TV

HBO has announced that it will use Adobe Systems' Flash multimedia platform as well as Adobe's encrypted Real-Time Messaging Protocol when distributing its content online for those who already subscribe to the premium cable service on TV. HBO Chief Technology Officer Bob Zitter said the platform was chosen because "the Flash player is relatively ubiquitous across PCs and Macs. It was important to us to make this offering work on Macs as well as PCs."
