Injuries reported as Continental flight hits severe turbulence

A Continental Airlines 767 en route to Houston from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, encountered severe turbulence at 38,000 feet over the Caribbean on Monday morning, forcing the flight to divert to Miami. Emergency vehicles lined the runway to assist 26 injured passengers and crew, including four with injuries described as serious.
