HHS will revisit breach notification rule

HHS has pulled its final rule on breach notification for unprotected health data to allow for further review, a move applauded by privacy proponents. "This is a complex issue and the Administration is committed to ensuring that individuals' health information is secured to the extent possible ... and that individuals are appropriately notified when incidents do occur," agency officials said.
