Lawmakers promise FAA "fast track" for pilot safety rules

New York lawmakers vowed Monday to monitor FAA implementation of a new law intended to boost safety at regional airlines. "This is not going to die in the morass of Washington lobbyists," said Rep. Brian Higgins, a Democrat representing Buffalo, who promised the regulations will be "fast tracked" through the FAA.
