NYC restaurants: The inspection website goes too far

New York City restaurateurs were already concerned about the potential impact grades lower than "A" from the city's health department might have on customer perceptions and sales. Now, restaurant owners are upset about the website the department created in conjunction with the new grading system. Individual restaurant pages on the site contain links to older inspection reports, including details on previous violations. Access to the older reports are likely to give customers the wrong idea about a restaurant's current status, said one Manhattan restaurant owner.
