Russian consumers are hungry for U.S. quickservice chains

For many years, McDonald's was the only U.S. quickservice chain operating in Russia, but a newly affluent middle class is driving demand for fare from a host of newer entrants including Papa John's Pizza, Domino's, Burger King and Subway. Investments in infrastructure, including malls with food courts and highways with drive-thru eateries, also are feeding U.S. chains' expansion plans.
